The Quivira Trail is a rail-trails project that runs for 37.4 miles, between Lyons and Beaver. Quivira is a place named by explorer Francisco Vásquez de Coronado in 1541, for the mythical “Seven Cities of Gold”. The explorer did find a Quivira Indian village near Lyons but no gold.

The trail corridor has been railbanked by the Sunflower Rail-Trails Conservancy.
